Admission
to various programmes of the CUTN is done through the CENTRAL UNIVERSITIES
COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (CUCET). CUCET was conducted in the years 2010, 2011 and
2012 by the Central University of Tamil Nadu with other newly formed Central
Universities such as Jammu, Kashmir, Jharkhand, Bihar, Rajasthan, Karnataka and
Kerala. CUCET-2011 was conducted in 30 centers across the country in
collaboration with six other Central Universities viz. Bihar, Jharkhand,
Karnataka, Kashmir, Kerala and Rajasthan for admission to various
Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Research and Integrated programmes. Seven Central
Universities came together and conducted the Common Entrance Test (CUCET-2012)
during June 2012. CUTN conducted this Common Entrance Test in 21 centers across
the country in collaboration with six other Central Universities viz. Bihar,
Jharkhand, Jammu, Kashmir, Kerala and Rajasthan for admission to various
Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Integrated, M. Phil. and Ph.D programmes. Over 5000
candidates have appeared for the Common Entrance Test conducted in offline mode
on 3rd, 9th and 10th June 2012. Close to 9000
candidates appeared for the Common Entrance Test conducted in online mode on 9th
and 10th June 2012.
