Biographic Sketch:
Punnya Rajendran is Assistant Professor in the Department of English Studies, Central University of Tamil Nadu since 2020. She completed her master’s degree in English from the University of Hyderabad in 2013 and received her Ph.D. in English in 2020 from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Her research publications span the fields of aesthetics, affect theory and critical pedagogy. She wishes to guide a cohort of research scholars who are willing to transform their interest in literature into an interest in the teaching of literature through the framework of critical pedagogy and affect theory. Research in this area may involve fieldwork in Indian colleges and universities and qualitative data collection through narrative interviewing and discourse analysis of classroom cultures in India.
