Biographic Sketch:
Dr. Padiri Ruth Angiel, joined the Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) in 2019 as Assistant Professor, in the department of Applied Psychology. Dr. Ruth has pursued her doctorate under the guidance of Dr. Meera Padhy at Centre for Health Psychology, University of Hyderabad. Her doctoral research work was in the area of Health Psychology. She has done her Masters of Science in Psychology from the Sampurna Montfort College, Bangalore, specializing in Clinical Psychology. With an exposure to both Clinical and Health Psychology, her research interests include children’s holistic development, adolescent’s wellbeing and challenges faced by young adults, women’s mental health and developing interventions for diabetes management. She has published her research work in various reputed journals over the years and has also presented papers in national and international conferences.
