The Academic Council is the principal academic body of the University and is, subject to the provision of the Act, Statutes and Ordinances. It will co-ordinate and exercise general supervision over the academic Policies of the University. It will also exercise general supervision over the academic policies of the University and give directions regarding methods of instructions, co-ordination of teaching among the Colleges and Institutions, evaluation of research and improvement of academic standards.
Frame such regulations and rules that are consistent with the statutes and the ordinances regarding the academic functioning of the University, discipline, residence, admissions, award of fellowships and studentships, fees, concessions, corporate life and attendance.
