Department of Education targets molding and revamping human capital through cutting-edge educational methodologies and pedagogies. It focuses on redefining educational research with professionalism and productivity. Ensures 21st century learning practices through integration of technology and human values, fostering civic senses and global outlook through variety of courses along with traditional courses like PhD, M.Ed and integrated courses like BSc.Ed. Ensures provision for maximized learning through experiences and exposure to the global arena of education, keep abreast with trends and development in order to contribute the maximum for nation building. Community enrichment in various focus areas, design &development of resource pools, publications at national and international reputations, industry experiences, benchmarking teacher professionalism are the other focus of the department with qualified and experienced faculty team.

Programmes Offered
ITEP
Eligibility Criteria:
IV year integrated B.Sc. B.Ed. programme is designed to prepare students for the teaching profession. The programme trains students in both pedagogy and subjects, integrating them to become reflective teachers. Completing this integrated course in 4 years saves 1 academic year, as a B.Sc. takes 3 years, and a B.Ed. takes 2 years. Additionally, this programme is equivalent to a two-year B.Ed. programme and B.Sc. (Mathematics) programmes. Moreover, we offer campus placements during the final year, where a majority of students are placed in reputed schools.

Ph.D. in Education
Ph.D. in Education programme holds great significance as it equips individuals with specialized research skills, enabling them to contribute to educational practices, bridge the gap between research and practice, expand the knowledge base, influence policy decisions, and offer diverse career prospects. Our faculty offers adequate support to provide expertise in conducting research within the educational domain. The programme equips research scholars with advanced knowledge and skills in research methodologies, data analysis, and critical thinking. This expertise enables scholars to contribute to the existing body of knowledge in education and make meaningful contributions to the field.
Eligibility Criteria:
A consistently good academic record and possessing a Degree in M.Ed. Degree, offered by NCTE approved Institution.
