Biographic Sketch:
Dr.T.K.Venkatachalapathy, Assistant Professor of Economics at the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN), Thiruvarur, since March 2020. He had his PhD from the University of Hyderabad in 2015. He received his BBE, MA and M.Phil., in Economics from Madurai Kamaraj University Madurai in 2004, 2006 and 2007 respectively. Since 2015, He has research experience on National Institute for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Rajendra Nager Hyderabad area of research in Primitive vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) index and University of Hyderabad. He has contributed to CUTN as a resident warden in the hostel and guest faculty in the economics department in 2016. He has research interests in Micro-Finance, Development Economics, Poverty and International Economics. He has to guide two Ph.D scholars, among them one scholar has submitted a thesis and is awaiting for viva. He has to be consternated for various programmes organized in the CUTN Campus. He conducts student’s seminar and lecture series and financial literacy training programme to the school children in various villages.

   
Research Highlights :

Dr T.K.Venkatachalapathy’s  interests in Economics research involve Micro finance, credit and insurance.  His main motivation of research is women development with financial inclusion. His research works are listed micro credit lending and borrowing, poverty, Health economics and textile industry. He has published 4 research articles. His recent contributions are about the index preparation to the financial inclusion and insurance.
