Research Highlights :

Dr. V. Gunasekaran, is mainly focusing on the development of 2D carbon nanostructured materials such as graphene, and graphene-oxide, graphdiyne and hybrid nanostructures for clean energy applications such as photocatalysis, electrocatalysis (Hydrogen Evolution Reaction and Oxygen Evolution Reaction) as well as Electrochemical Supercapacitors for energy storage. His lab is equipped with a basic infrastructure facility to prepare various nanomaterials for clean energy generation applications. His research group develops various novel materials for the above-said applications.  In addition, his lab provides a good platform to students to learn/training in materials synthesis procedures and characterization, particularly for Postgraduate students like MTech (Materials science) and PhD scholars for their project work. Also, his lab will have a plan to set up a quantitative measurement system for Hydrogen energy production.
