Biographic Sketch:
Dr. J. Vineesh Prakash at present serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the Central University of Tamil Nadu. Prior to that, he was affiliated with several universities, including SRM University-AP, K R Mangalam University, and SRM University Delhi-NCR, serving as a faculty member in economics. He has obtained his doctoral degree from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at IIT Roorkee and has earned his M.Phil. from the Central University of Punjab in Development Economics. His extensive research area covers international trade and finance, industrial economics, developmental issues, and financial inclusion. He has authored research papers in esteemed national and international journals, including Millennial Asia, South Asia Economic Journal, The Indian Economic Journal, and Vision, and has received the Best Paper Award at the “6th Management Doctoral Colloquium & VGSOM Research Scholars’ Day” organized by the Vinod Gupta School of Management, IIT Kharagpur.

Dr. J Vineesh Prakash is a distinguished social science researcher specializing in industrial economics, international trade and finance, and development issues including migration and financial inclusion. In his doctoral research, he employed dynamic panel data models and limited dependent variable regression models to ascertain the determinants of profitability, R&D, and export performance within a specific industry context. He also tested theories such as the resource-based view and analysed the influence of ownership structures, including business group affiliation. In his M.Phil. research, he modelled time-series datausing cointegration techniques to evaluate the degree of equity market integration across BRICS nations. Presently, as a faculty of economics at Central University of Tamil Nadu, he has expanded his research focus to encompass topics such as financial inclusion.
