Research Highlights : Dr. Raja completed a UGC-sponsored Major Research Project (₹13.40 lakhs) during 2015–2018, examining the role of parental television mediation in addressing caste-related violence and promoting communal harmony in the southern districts of Tamil Nadu. He has successfully supervised 16 Ph.D. scholars and 6 currently ongoing. In addition, 16 M.Phil. scholars have completed their research under his guidance. Dr. Raja has published 36 research articles in academic journals and contributed 6 chapters to edited volumes/books. Dr. G. Balasubramania Raja’s teaching and research focus on media and communication and their role in shaping society, with emphasis on social justice, inclusion, and development. His work engages with communication systems to facilitate positive social change and contribute to societal development.
