Dr. K. Kavitha is an accomplished Assistant Professor in the Department of Tourism & Hospitality Management at the School of Commerce and Business Management, Central University of Tamilnadu. With a remarkable academic journey spanning two decades, she has emerged as a prominent figure in the field of tourism and hospitality management. Having earned her Ph.D. in Tourism Management with a focus on cultural tourism from Madurai Kamaraj University, Dr. Kavitha has displayed her dedication to academia and industry through her 20 years of teaching experience and 5 years of industry involvement. Her passion for research is evident from her prolific contributions to academic literature. With 16 research articles published in reputable national and international journals listed in Web of Science and Scopus, she has also presented around 20 research papers at various international and national conferences. She has been awarded the ICSSR Research project and other projects with a total grant of 45 Lakhs. Presently she is guiding a few research Scholars for Ph.D. and conducting research on the ICSSR project. Dr. Kavitha’s impact extends beyond her research endeavors. She has organized numerous workshops, seminars, conferences, cultural and food festivals, and Faculty Development Programs (FDPs). Her dedication to educational innovation is evident in her role in designing new curricula and courses for various institutions. She has also served in administrative capacities, displaying effective leadership as the Principal of a premium institute in Karnataka recognized by AICTE. Her commitment to the advancement of education is recognized through awards like the "Best Principal Award" from ESN Research Group and Publication, Chennai, and the "Best Principal Award" from InSc, Institute of Scholars, Bangalore. Additionally, she serves as a reviewer for renowned academic journals and is a member of prestigious associations such as the Indian Council for Business Education and Professional Housekeeping Association. Dr. K. Kavitha’s extensive knowledge, innovative teaching methods, and continuous pursuit of excellence make her a vital asset to the academic community.
