Research Highlights : His research interest lies in the history of Indigenous medicines and their reconfiguration process. His papers analysed the contestation between indigenous and Western medicines during the colonial times. Besides, his research concentrates that how the indigenous medical traditions were being reconstructed by the indigenous physicians based on the contemporary political, social, economic and cultural conditions. Revitalization of indigenous medicines was taken into account and traced. His research findings have been published in the international journals like Medical History (Cambridge), Asian Medicine (Brill), Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine (Elsevier) and Indian Journal of History of Science (Springer).
