Biographic Sketch:
Dr. Lakshmi R is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Psychology at the Central University of TamilNadu. Previously, she worked as a contract assistant professor and research associate. She completed her five-year integrated programme in Clinical and Counselling Psychology from the Department of Psychology at the Central University of Karnataka, as well as her Doctorate in Psychology with a focus on health behaviour from the same university. Her research interests include the health and addictive behaviour of adolescents.

   
Research Highlights :

Dr. Lakshmi R is an Assistant Professor at the Central University of Tamil Nadu's Department of Applied Psychology. Her primary research interests are behavioural epidemiology, health risk behaviours, social cognition, noncommunicable diseases, psycho-oncology, adolescent mental health, and mindfulness. She has published her research works in esteemed journals, including Elsevier, Routledge, Springer Nature, and others. She has also written two book chapters and is currently one of the project directors for the ICSSR-funded project "Impact of Services Delivered by Health and Wellness Centres on Maternal Health Care among Young Mothers of Tribal Population in South India." She has also actively participated in projects funded by ICSSR and FVTRS.
