Biographic Sketch:
Louis Mushary received his M. Phil degree from St. Joseph’s College, Trichy, and his Ph.D. in History from Pondicherry University. At present, he is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of History, at the Central University of Tamil Nadu. Prior to joining the Central University of Tamil Nadu, he worked as an Assistant Professor of History (self-finance section) at Loyola College, Chennai. Louis Mushary was awarded Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship to pursue the Ph.D. program. He too cleared UGC- NET, SLET, and SET exams. Dr. Louis Mushary is currently the NAAC- Coordinator for the Department of History, Central University of Tamil Nadu, and a member of the Board of Studies, Department of History, Central University of Tamil Nadu.

   
Research Highlights :

Dr. Louis Mushary’s research areas of interest are Intellectual History, Gender Studies, and Environmental History. He has published several research articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals. He also guided twelve postgraduate students in project work. Besides, he collated sources for Gender in Indian History for NRCE, NIEPA.
