Biographic Sketch:
Dr. Mamman Joseph C. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Psychology, Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN), with 13 years of teaching experience at the University Level and 18 years of experience in psychological counselling. Prior to his appointment at CUTN, he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology, Central University of Karnataka. He has also worked as a faculty in the School of Behavioural Sciences and Inter University Centre for Disability Studies, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala. He was also a visiting faculty of the School of Medical Education, Mahatma Gandhi University and the State Institute for Medical Education and Technology, Kerala. He has a Ph.D. and an M.Phil. in Psychology, M.Sc. in Applied Psychology, M.Sc. in Health and Behavioural Sciences, and a Master's Diploma in Counselling Psychology. He has designed and conducted various workshops and training programmes related to soft skills training, psycho-social care for the disaster-affected, and counselling. His research interests include; Disaster Mental Health, Suicidology, Environmental Psychology, Work-life Balance, and Counselling.

   
Research Highlights :

Dr. Mamman Joseph's research interests include; Disaster Mental Health, Suicidology, Environmental Psychology, and Maternal Mental Health. He has published 20 journal articles, 3 book chapters and edited one book. He has completed one major research project in the area of disaster mental health and another project on adolescent depression is ongoing. 

His present research is mainly focusing on interventions based on positive psychological constructs to reduce suicidal ideation and the enhancing well-being of individuals based on connectedness to nature.
