Biographic Sketch:
Dr. Sampurn Anand obtained his Phd. from the University of Delhi in 2016. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad, from 2016-2018. After completing his tenure at PRL, Dr. Anand worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, St. Stephen's College, University of Delhi, from 2018-2019. He moved to the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai as a postdoctoral fellow under the National Post-Doctoral Fellowship program sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. His field of research is Cosmology. Specifically, he works on dark energy, cosmic magnetic fields, and gravitational waves. He has published several well-cited papers in high-impact, international journals. He is a lifetime member of the Indian Association for General Relativity and Gravity; visiting associate at the Inter-University Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune; nodal coordinator for ISRO's Space science and Technology AwaReness Training (START) program. He guided 4 MSc students dissertations. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, Central University of Tamil Nadu.
