Biographic Sketch:
Dr. Dejey is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science, CUTN, Tiruvarur. She earned her B.E. (2003), M.E. (2005)and Ph.D. (2011) in Computer Science and Engineering from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli. She was awarded UGC - JRF (2008) in Engineering and Technology. She served as Assistant Professor at Regional Campus–Tirunelveli (2010–2023) and later as Associate Professor at the College of Engineering, Guindy Campus (2023–2025) of Anna University.She has over 40 research publications, authored the book Cyber Forensics (Oxford University Press), and holds two patents and two copyrights. She has supervised ten scholars for the award of Ph.D. from Anna University. She has delivered 40 video lectures for the SWAYAM-PRABHA national platform. Her consultancy work for Tirunelveli and Thoothukudi Corporations amounted to ₹1.5 crore, and she was sanctioned a ₹23-lakh research grant from the Ministry of AYUSH.A recipient of the Silver Award for Excellence in IT in the AYUSH sector (2020) and the Active Consultant Award from Anna University (2023), she presented a paper at an international conference in Melbourne (2024), winning the Best Presentation Award. Her research interests include Signal, Image and Video Processing, Machine and Deep Learning, IoT, and Cyber Forensics.

   
Research Highlights :

Dr. Dejey’s research focuses on integrating advanced artificial intelligence and computational methods to solve real-world problems. Her recent work includes developing models for fish species classification and advancing autism screening through fMRI-based neural analysis. She has contributed to national education initiatives by developing a Course on Data Structures and Computer Algorithms for SWAYAM Prabha. Her ongoing projects explore AI, image processing, and high-performance computing. She also holds two Indian patents, demonstrating translational impact from research to innovation.
