Biographic Sketch:
I am an Assistant Professor in the department of Epidemiology and Public Health at Central University of Tamil Nadu. I was a research fellow with WHO-SEARO and hold a PhD from the Achutha Menon Centre for Health Sciences Studies at the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology. I am an MPH graduate from the same institute and completed MPH internship with DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) scholarship at Bielefeld University, Germany. I was an INSPIRE fellow under the Department of Science and Technology in India and have two book chapter and seven research publications in international journals. My core research interests lie in Gender and Intersectionality in Health, Healthcare Economics, Health Systems and Health Policy. I was part of two international projects with training experience under National Institutes of Health, USA and worked as a temporary consultant for Department of Reproductive Health and Research at World Health Organization.

Dr. Neena Elezebeth Philip is a trained public health professional with an MPH and a Ph.D. from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, India’s first Public Health School” and “Centre of Excellence for Public Health Training” recognized by the Govt. of India.
