Biographic Sketch:
Prof. R. Roopkumar completed Ph.D. in Mathematics under the guidance of Prof. V. Karunakaran from Madurai Kamaraj University in 2004, with the fellowships CSIR-JRF and CSIR-SRF. He has been working as a teacher cum researcher at Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology (2004-2006), Alagappa University (2006-2015), Central University of Kerala (2015-2016), and Central University of Tamil Nadu (2016 – till date). He has published 66 articles in international Journals and a text book on Complex analysis and guided 4 research scholars for their Ph.D. theses. He has delivered more than 150 talks in various conferences, workshops, seminars, and refresher courses. He received Young Scientist Award from DST on 2006. He has also served as the Head of the Department at Central University of Kerala and Head of the Department and Dean of the School at Central University of Tamil Nadu. In addition to this, he is also doing administrative works such as Nodal Officer for CU portal, Chairperson of the Faculty Grievance Redressal Committee, Member of the Internal Complaints Committee, and Admission Committee.
Research Highlights :
Prof. R. Roopkumar is working on integral transforms and generalized functions since 2000. He has published several articles on a class of generalized function spaces called Boehmian space, which are, in general, larger than distribution spaces. At present, he is also working on generalizations of various integral transforms as fractional integral transforms as well as quaternionic integral transforms. He has reviewed 160 articles for nearly 50 international journals and he is writing reviews for American Mathematical Society.
