The Department of Applied Psychology aims to solve human problems by the application of psychological principles. In the changing global scenario, the human problems have acquired new dimensions with the changing nature of the challenges that the world faces today. In view of this, the scientific discipline of applied psychology has emerged as a natural process of evolution in the dissemination of knowledge base. It has gathered spectacular momentum in recent years. In this context a post-graduate course in applied psychology has been a need of the time. The MSc Applied Psychology course has been designed to impart knowledge in the foundation of psychology along with three specializations, namely, clinical psychology, counselling psychology and Industrial and organizational psychology to train students to equip them apply the knowledge in the respective domains of specialization. Hence, the course includes theoretical papers, practicum, field visits and dissertation.
